After watching a movie last week Zizi got all excited to go out and play in the yard. finally we got around to playing outside due to the great weather outside. She finally decided that dirt doesnt taste like chocolate and rocks dont taste like chicken. Other than that awesome day of play and definitely needed a bath after all the fun.

Ok, its been a long time again. i really need to get better at following through on this blog thing. Anyway, a lot of things have happened lately. First of all Zizi learned how to do the famous sleeper hold. She practiced for hours on stuffed animals until she had it down, then unleashed it on McKinley. Judge for yourself, personally i think she has talent. Maybe she has a career in wrestling ahead. another accomplishment of zizi's is professional bocce ball athlete. as seen in the last photo she was taking her victory lap when halfway through she needed a quick break.

Zizi has decided that she is smart enough for a new phone. i told her a while ago that i would let her play with my phone if she could unlock it. well i thought i would have a little more time, but she has finally figured it out. its only a matter of time before she starts making phone calls to everyone.

Zizi is now one year old. i cant believe how fast time has come and gone. i look at pictures from when she was younger(just born) and wonder who she was...... coincidentally it might Zizi's first birthday and time for me to update the annual blog. hopefully this year i can be alittle bit better with updates and zizi i am sure is going to continue to do things worthy of adding.

Zizi is getting so big. she thinks that she is all grown up and is trying so hard to walk. she just barely figured out how to crawl forward and can now get from the living room to the bathroom in just a matter of seconds. the funniest thing is that she will pause periodically and try to stand up. She wants to walk so bad, but she has almost no balance. good luck Zizi, keep on trying......

Its been a while since we posted, but i think this one might totally redeem me. Lindsay got Zizi to giggle for almost five minutes,  i only recorded the last minute or so. it was super cute, enjoy...

Baby sitting

Zizi and i have spent the last two days together without any adult supervision. i guess day two was getting a little bit too much for us and we decided to go ski jumping. after realizing that zizi doesnt own a helmet or snowgloves we had to compromise with a skirt and no socks. dont worry though i had my helmet and gloves and there was no immediate danger to any of us.

so it turns out Zizi isnt much for the outdoors. she really enjoys a good hour of ellen. really she has been really good and well behaved unless we try to take the remote or trick her into watching something she doesnt think is "educational."

Zizi all grown up

While having lunch up at the parents Aunt Staci decided that Zizi was getting big enough and old enough to graduate from the bottle. i guess i cant complain, might as well do it now and not have to worry about getting her away from it later. ok, she still only likes the bottle, but it was a good try.

asleep at the movies

like mother like daughter. it looks like it is tough to make it through an entire movie. we watched the movie Traitor, it was a great movie, even over the snooring of the girls.... Zizi really likes to sleep next to Lindsay, and she really likes to sleep with her hands above her head. no matter how tight we wrap her up, her hands always get loose. even after she has fallen asleep i can move her hands down, but within seconds they are right back up above her head.

Lindsay and Zizi got to come home today. we packed up the car, and Zizi loved the ride so much. it was almost instantly she fell asleep. after we got home, and all inside we gave her a tour of the apartment and then it was time to eat (again). after eating, she drinks so fast, she got the hiccups. they were so funny. so enjoy

Zizi Anne Biehn

So finally today Jan 11, 2009, Zizi decided to be born. she was born at 11:20 am, but that was not the start of the day. the day started first with lindsay's water breaking at 12:30 and a rush trip to the hospital. after many hours of medication and labor procedures Zizi was finally born. So far she has been such a good kid. she is so relaxed, just likes to be here, doesnt cry too much at all, and gets tired easily. overall she is everything that could have hoped for. not too mention she is so darn cute!!!!!

Ok, so i finally got around to updating the old blog. Christmas was good, we of course got too spoiled. good to hang out with the fam, and a game of monopoly fit in perfectly. today linds and i decided to go and have some fun in the snow. with little zizi coming it limits the amount of snow sports that we can play, but playing in the yard is always a safe bet. Snowmen are over rated, and snow forts are only fun if across the road is an enemy fort, so we decided to start piling up the snow. if it smells like a duck, sounds like a duck and tastes like snow, it must be a snow duck........

this is probably the best pet ever made.

Wasatch Crest

Last saturday the gang and i got out and shredded up one of the best trails in Utah, The Wasatch Crest trail. Starting from the top of big cottonwood canyon, on guardsmen pass, there is a slight but constant uphill grind until reaching the base of Puke hill. Puke hill gains 1000 ft vertical in less than 1 mile. needless to say, i walked and took many breaks on the adventure. From the top it was all down hill and totally worth it.

On the trail we past two moose, Deselation Lake, a dozen or so hikers and millions of ants. No damage to my body this time around, but i continue to have bad luck with the bike. The Kona ended get a rock chip on the front shock, resulting in a blown out seal lots of leaking oil and a trip the bike shop on the way home. The worst thing about it was that i didnt even crash.

12 Week Baby Biehn

Here is your baby nephew/niece. It has two legs, two arms, and a head. Lindsay thinks it is a boy and I think it is a girl. It definitely was very active at the ultrasound once the doctor woke it up. We will find out on the 30th of July what the sex is.

Wow what a night. went biking with Jordan up to I street. i didnt get much video footage of myself, but i got a ton of Jordan. Started the night off with a slight wreck, first jump and clearly it wasnt going to be a good night for me. i smashed my pinky pretty sweet gash. then i went down to hit another jump. should have been easy but definitly had some problems. sweet take off, perfect air, smooth landing, then it happened. all the sudden out of no where my back tire began to lock up. i stoped and realized i broke a spoke, then the spoke wrapped around and caught my derailler and the derailler got caught in the wheel. needless to say, not the best night of biking. here are some pics of the finger, and i will have a video of jordan up some time this weekend.
